HEY there neighbors – thanks for such a fun weekend! I hope you had a good time. What went on right here on this rock was amazing!
Even in the rain on Sunday – a historic time capsule was buried, burgers were devoured, dogs woofed and paraded proudly (and pulled bikes!), and friends and neighbors sang and strummed together.
In the sun on Saturday families and friends laughed as they mini-golfed their way around the island. Daniel Craig solved a mystery with an island filmmaker. Cupcakes were baked and consumed. Creedence Clearwater Revival played down on the corner. Bikes paraded colorfully as Ms. PeaksFest waved to her adoring fans. Books were perused and art was appreciated. Umbrella covers were considered as blueberry soda was slurped. Glorious handmade pots were purchased and fire engines climbed, open houses were visited and pies were smashed in faces. Ice cream cones were licked and the world’s coolest radio station broadcasted live from our own little downtown.
During a lovely island sunset on Friday, fiddles fiddled and toes tapped. BINGO shouts rang joyfully across the waves. Piano keys tinkled and children danced while parents schmoozed and munched. And OH YES – T-SHIRTS were claimed and proudly donned.
To our very generous donors and helpers – we certainly couldn’t have done it all without you! You show your true Peaks spirit in support of this event, and we thank you SO sincerely.

A nod and a wink to our former glorious leader, PeaksFest founder David Cohan – WHERE EVER you are (in California, last I heard)! And also former PeaksFest coordinator Lynne Richard, now enjoying retirement in Florida. We miss you both, and we thank you; your legacy of fun and wackiness lives on!
SO, again, THANK YOU ALL for joining in – there would BE no PeaksFest if no one came to play along! There were so many “only on Peaks Island” moments shared. PHOTOS COMING SOON!
